Art on a Box
As a commission from the Eindeloos agency and the Port of Amsterdam, in his own entirely typical manner Arno Coenen refashioned an ocean-going shipping container, which was presented at the Amsterdam Uitmarkt.
Arno Coenen's oeuvre is characterised by his love for clear language. He seeks contact and identification by working together with people in whose circle the work is created.
Something more that was special about his container was the interior, which Iris Roskam transformed into an Amsterdam harbour pub. She drew cold beers for the guests and passed around warm meatballs.
